Namo Bharat RRTS vs Delhi Metro: what riders should know
Namo Bharat RRTS is regional rapid rail operated with NCRTC, not a Delhi Metro line. Fares and tickets are separate from DMRC. MetroMarg plans RRTS legs with their own fares and can combine them with Delhi Metro only through real transfer points such as Anand Vihar.
Different systems, different tickets
Delhi Metro (DMRC) and Delhi–Meerut RRTS / Namo Bharat are separate operators and fare systems. A cross-network journey in MetroMarg shows each leg’s fare when available — not one merged ticket price.
Near Meerut, RRTS infrastructure is shared with local Meerut Metro stopping patterns; RRTS express and local stopping behaviour are not the same product.
Interchange hubs worth knowing
Public reporting and NCRTC materials describe multimodal links at hubs including Anand Vihar, New Ashok Nagar, Ghaziabad, and Sarai Kale Khan / Nizamuddin-side connectivity with Delhi Metro lines. No. MetroMarg never sells tickets. Route results deep-link to each operator’s official channel when available. Cross-network trips need separate tickets per operator.
Is RRTS the same as Airport Express?
No. Airport Express is a Delhi Metro line (Orange). RRTS / Namo Bharat is a separate regional system.
