Delhi Metro smart card vs token: what MetroMarg shows
Route cards show a token fare and, when available, an approximate smart-card fare at ~10% off. Off-peak extras and special passes are not always itemised — confirm on DMRC media.
What you see on a route card
Where slabs apply, MetroMarg shows token rupees plus a smart-card figure derived from the standard percentage discount rounded to the nearest rupee — matching how our fare file documents DMRC’s stated discount without a separate official smart-card PDF.
What we do not auto-apply
Tourist cards, MJQRT-style passes, and time-bounded off-peak promos change with DMRC policy. Unless encoded explicitly in our data, they will not rewrite the number on the card.
Airport Express passes
Our fare file also records Airport Express multi-trip pass price points (30 trips / ₹1600, 45 trips / ₹2000) for reference — still verify before purchase.
Common questions
Why doesn’t smart-card fare appear on RRTS or some other networks?
Those networks use pair matrices or incomplete public discount tables in our dataset. We only show a second fare column when the math is grounded in data we ship.
